Cheshire Tiler
The difference a tiler can make to a kitchen or bathroom is amazing. Bathroms and kitchens are the rooms that can really make a difference to the sale of a house
so having a tiler come in and re-tile them can often be money well spent. Cheshire tilers cover the Middlewich, Northwich, Knutsford,
Sandbach and Holmes Chapel areas.
Tiling
We offer free quotations and assessments whereby we will be happy to measure the area to be tiled and provide an estimate. We
offer wall and floor tiling to the domestic market. We specialize in bathroom and kitchen tiling and offer a 12 month guarantee. The tiling
cost may depend on a number of factors such as the type and size of tiles. For instance, small porcelain tiles can sometimes take longer to
lay and cut than ceramic tiles.
How long does the tiling process take?
- First of all the room needs to be measured correctly. 10% extra tiles need to be ordered to allow for off-cuts.
- The room is then prepared for tiling. We can arrange for any plastering to be carried out prior to tiling.
- The tiler inially lays out the tiles to check the most efficient way to lay the tiles with the least amount of off-cuts.
- The tiler then uses adhesive to lay and fix the tiles. There are different types of adhesives for different types of tiles.
Some are more expensive than others. Some adhesives dry very quickly allowing you to walk on the tiles in as little as three
hours.
- Once the tiler has laid and fixed the tiles, grout is used to fill the gaps. Grout can come in a number of different colours.
- The tiler then removes excess grout and cleans the surface of the tiles. Once dry. the tiles can often still have a film of
grout on them which usually just requires further cleaning with a mop.
- Depending on the room size, a floor can often be laid in a day.
